How long did it take the dealer to provide you with ETA after you ordered?

too long, and they tried to bullsh1t me on top of it.
I ended up calling another dealer and finding an available car in port....luckily, I still got the first one from that dealer.

They had me a car in 2 weeks. The wife was pissed!
Told her it would take 6-9 months. They called me 4 days later and said they had found one in-bound to another dealer, exactly as I had spec'd it. A few calls later, it was redirected.
After the driving the car a few times, she got over it!

Please define "ETA"
The day I ordered, the "ETA" was 3-4 months. 3 months later, the official "ETA" was "it's on the boat". A month later (thanks to port delays), it finally showed up. German efficiency put it a month ahead of schedule and American ineficiency dalayed it a month. My dealer (and salesperson) totally sux. Once I even drove down there to ask face-to-face because they apparently didn't givea****. The result? "My sales manager is on vacation this week and he's the only one with access to the audi computer". I always knew more than my dealer by asking the knowledgeable and well-connected people on this messageboard. If only I could have ordered my audi from my BMW dealer.
