Default How to remove window trim pieces?

I am curious if anyone has taken the metallic trim peices off from around the windows, how do they come off and are they a nasty job to remove? Would like to swap with black for winter, put the silver on in summer, match the rims at the time. See pic below...

Default IIRC they are riveted on. You will have to pull the interior trim ect.

I do not know if the attachment method allows you to re-install it after it's removed. But my guess is probably not. It's likely a one time fastener.

You're better off trying to find some vinyl adhesive to overlay if you want to switch it often.

Default Sucks.

Hate to be so half assed as vinyl tape....reminds me of www.riceboypage.com where guys would measure the rice content by gross weight of vinyl tape on the body.

Default a bodyshop had mine for about a week to do the trim and mirrors...

I think it would be difficult for someone at home. It's not like switching panerai watch straps.

Default If you haven't found a source for the trim...

this is actually a pretty good price vs dealership.<ul><li><a href="http://oempl.us/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=60_71_1 04&amp;products_id=767">Trim pieces</a></li></ul>
