Can anyone speak to their successes/failures with Huper's products? I've heard nothing but good things (albeit pricey for tint)...but always seemed to end up w/ 3M or LLumar products in the past.

Also, I'm having difficulty finding an installer in the northern NJ area...and am not interested in a trip into NYC, if possible. Can anyone recommend a good HO installer in these parts?

not that it isnt great stuff, but he mentioned it is very thick and difficult to bend and Huper Optic dealers cannot install it on rear deck windows because of this and instead substitute that with a Madico (much cheaper tint) but HO customers are not routinely told this. He uses it for home and building applications and told me to use another from his product line for my car. Do a search on "huper optik madico" on this forum. Otherwise it seems like a great tint. I decdied to do the Foumula One Ceramic again on my latest car and it is fantastic and now a bargain too at only $265 for the whole car.

and after that, find out what THEY recommend. I have a friend of a friend who has been doing tint for over 10 years, and he recommended some cheap stuff that looks great and never discolors....IIRC the film he uses is Johnson or something like that. I've had it on 3 cars and it always looks great.

Yup. It keeps coming back that AoT is one the best...I've had some discussions w/ the owner already...just trying to avoid the trip into the city.

I guess I'll suck it up, could be worse.
