Default I am looking to do an ECU Flash on my RS4

I am looking to do an ECU Flash on my RS4, does anyone have any recommendation or actually story on how your RS4 responded to the flash. I was looking at APR and REVO, any suggestions.

seems the best option is the jhm tune. get a look at the jhm tuned rs4s both running 12.2 on this list. pretty impressive. I will personally
likely get piggies (gut precats in oem downpipes, leave main cats in tact) and the jhm tune.

i saw it first hand when my stock rs4 and a friend's fully jhm'd rs4 went to the dragstrip. He ran 12.28 @ 112.45 while my best on the day was 13.1 @ 106. The gap was huge from a pretty modest modlist.

here's jhm's promo video for the rs4. this was made like 6 months ago. Since then Dan from JHM has run 12.29 @ 111 on 91 octane and a JHM 91 octane tune (+ jhm dps, catback, clutch/fw, rotors)

before someone says it, no you don't need a custom tune. You just need a good tune. Lots of people point to APR and GIAC's modest gains from their RS4 tune as reason to need a custom tune for your RS4. That's frankly bunk. The B6/7 S4 was the same...ineffective tunes leading to calls for custom tunes or to not bother getting 4.2 cars tuned altogether. Bunk. The JHM tune I had on my B7 S4 was a big difference maker. I had 2.5" dps/catback, JHM LW rotors and JHM 93 tune. I ran 12.9 @ 107.8 while a friend's bone stock S4 driven well ran a best of 13.84 @ 102, same day, same track. That's a massive gap for simple tune and exhaust mods. No custom nothing. All the guys claiming you need a custom tune are strangely either not custom tuned, or if they are, are sharing nothing but dynos to prove how great the tune was. Where are the timeslips? where are the pulls vs. other RS4s? THey've all gone quiet, as have the APR and GIAC tune promotors. Strange? Not really. Very typical.

Sweet video's saki!! Once I save some money I'm deftly wanting to do some JHM mods....How much of a drop is your friend's red RS4? it looks pretty cool lowered....

i think it was around 1.5" lower than stock. He somehow fits 275.30.19 tires on 19x10 wheels. Car looks SOOOOO wide when you drive behind it.

I bet it does....I love the rear end of our cars...with the fender flares, it looks like a TANK! LOL...so I can only imagine lowered!

These are the gains an EPL flash gave me, just last week: http://www.fastaudi.com/GaryW_Final.jpg

This was right after a carbon clean. I also have GMG exhaust, intake mani port/polish, and K&N filter.

the carbon clean was done between the pre and post dynos? Or before everything? Judging by the way your stock profile changes at 5500 I'll say both dynos were post cleaning.

from the looks of it you picked up 9.9 WTQ and 16.1 WHP. Much less than the last EPL tune delta I saw. Looks like the 'meat' of your gains came pre 5500 rpm...a.k.a. EPL turned off the factory torque limiter. I guess you dyno'd in 3rd gear?

Piggied downpipes would certainly help the car..have you considered that?
