I was at MTM having them put on all morning. Unfortunately it was a pretty slow day there because they are gettig ready to close for the holidays and there were no interesting cars there. A least there was nothing I hadnt seen before.

No first impression on the brakes yet as I havent broken the pads in fully. I do have to say that they fell much more progressive in application than the S4 brakes did. S4 brakes felt more grabby in comparison. Just my opinion after 300 km.

After I got the brakes finished I headed down to the forum. I have been there many times before so really the only reason I go is to try to catch pics of new models. I was specifically looking for the R8 this time since I havent seen one in person yet. I did see RS4 avants and cabs and pretty much every single other audi model out right now, but no R8.

Here is an Avant that someone had just picked up.

Then the amazing happened.. I was on the A9 headed home just north of Ingolstadt when the A4 that was trying to keep up with me suddenly gets out of the lane behind me real quick. All I could see in the second I had to look in the rear view mirror was a very low car that reminded me of a ferarri or lambo. It was moving very quick so I pulled out of the way to let him go and also to see what the hell it was as it passed. as I pulled out of the way I got angry with myself for not recognizing what it was I was seeing. I finally noticed the incredibly bright row of LED lights below the headlights. Anyways, long story short it was a black on black R8 with the carbon sideblades. Exactly the combination I would get if I was getting one (if I could afford it is a better way to say it). I think it was probably one of the first production models though because tit did not have Ingolstadt or Neckarsulm plates but something like ZB. I have never seen anything but IN or HN on a preproduction audi. It was a very very cool looking car in person. Very intimidating to have come flying up from behind. Audi did very well if you ask me. And before anyone asks yes I did have my camera, but couldnt get it from the backseat in time before he fell back behind me to get off on the next exit. I only really saw it for about 10 seconds total.
