Default I know it's a small thing, but.......

Those damn orange side markers really irritate me. I am extremely **** about these sorts of details. Short of getting a Euro bumper, has anyone else done anything here?

I know ECS tuning has the side markers in smoke and white for the S4 which are the same shape and size but utilize a different mounting mechanism. I was wondering if one could purchase these pieces, remove the stock orange reflector off the mount on the RS4, and attach the ECS pieces in their place.

Other ideas, suggestions? Do these things bother anyone else?

I wonder if a window tint shop could cover them?

I had mine painted to be smoked by a local auto body shop. A smoke color paint and a clearcoat on top. The paint was purchased online at the following url.

They are an eye sore indeed. What happens if we just remove them?

Default That is the way to go.

Alternative would be to get some vinyl graphic sign tape that closely matches

Default thought about this but it then it looks like a deliberate attempt at a cover up......

What would be the point of having a seperate piece there just to have it painted body colored? I think I will embark on a little project:

I think I will order a complete second set of side markers, then the smoked S4 parts from ECS tuning and see if I can then just remove the orange reflector face off and replace with the smoked ones.

Here are the pics of the S4 pieces from ECS.
