I know your cars are only 1-2 years old but how have they been in terms of reliability?

Default I know your cars are only 1-2 years old but how have they been in terms of reliability?

Any major problems common to all cars? I know some have mentioned DRC issues but has it been as bad as the original RS6 issues?

I'm really thinking about getting rid of my B5S4 and looking for something that doesn't require as much constant maintenance. It's just little things but even the little things get to you when it happens about once every other month.

I know there are some decent deals out there for CPO RS4 and I'm also considering taking a look at a Lexus IS-F.

Default almost 21k miles, and I've been to the dealership 2 times total.

5k oil service, and the 15k oil service. no defects whatsoever.

Default 22K miles and one replaced windshield (factory defect).

No other problems at all. In fact the dealer has either topped off or changed the oil for free every time I've needed it. I'm sure the brakes will be the big ticket item...going to replace them soon. But as for reliability...couldn't be happier.

Default What has been the average mileage for brake pad replacement?

I get about 60k miles on a set of pads and rotors. I assume the life span of the RS4 brakes might be a little shorter.

Default Tracking or just normal street use?

I can't imagine having to replace pads and rotors before replacing tires.

I replaced front pads at 20k, rotors still OK. No tracking.

Default Is Audi covering replacements until the warranty is up or are you on your own?

Just thought I'd ask since BMW is doing brake pad replacements during the warranty period. My guess would be no though.

Default no tracking... but a LOT depends on how you drive on the street.

If you're hard on your brakes...you should probably factor in the replacement fairly early. I'll do what Bob did and replace the pads first because my rotors are still good. But the dealer will probably tell you to replace everything.
