The old forum software was great for off-topic and other social sound-off discussions but it sucked for technical discussions because the sheer speed of posting encouraged thoughtless drivel. There sure was plenty of that. Hopefully the new format will clean up some of the crap we used to see.

KAWF RIP

Agreed. This format makes it much easier to follow the hot discussions (the track thread feature always annoyed me)

I don't follow that logic - you now can't see the discussion content at the Forum level, so you are now forced to open the threads. That ain't easier in my book.

Really though...is it difficult to click a single link to see all the discussion information?

there will be a lot less drivel... because there will be a lot fewer people posting.

RIP AW

99% of forums are like this, so the new format is more common and probably easier for most people. I think they need a web designer to go through and clean everything up, somethings just look horrible but could be corrected with some tweeking.

vB can be very good, and once you have your head around it you'll find it has many more features than KAWF.

A few tweaks here and there by the admin will result in a much more user friendly, and informative site.

I suspect those that left:
1. Prefer chat rooms
2. Follow the leaders
3. Never changed jobs, ever!

Go for it AW. I'm a new member and love it!

Hmmm - very observant! I especially like #1 and # 2.

Agreed, overall an improvement. I'm glad the format was updated, but the design is a little unfinished.

It's nice to have most recent posts (even if they're in an old topic) elevated to the top. So often the would get buried after a few hours.
