I can live with the
drc gremlin (most cars have an archilles heel)
depreciation (most cars in the cat are prone)
dealer robbery for parts/service (SOP for all dealers)

Depreciation is not unique to this. My friend bought a Lexus is350 in Mar 08 for $52K. He needed to relocate so he tried to sell it in Dec 08. The same dealer he bought the car from offered him just $27K! I think it might also be worse due to the tough economical times.

And this is coming from mister Lexus fanboy, me. A 350 fully optioned may run upto $50k at sticker. Thats before you even start negotiating. The "market value" of a -fully- optioned IS350 is about $45k.. so he got majorly screwed to the tune of $7k.

The only lexus I ever liked was the early LS 400.

I once saw an article on how Lexus ISF engine looked compared to RS4. I can't find the artcle but take a look at this compare it to RS4s. this was a 250 and it looked goofy going down the freeway with both dual exhaust tips jiggling up and down under the bumper. Oh but Lexus and Toyota are so cool...not.
