I need to suck it up and buy a winter package...
And I picked up the car December 27th, so I'm a bit late to the game. Usually I have a second car to drive in the snow (or I just don't go anywhere), but I sold both my cars to purchase the RS4.
Tirerack has 18x7.5 w/ Dunlop M3s for $1285, but I don't want to go down to a 225 width tire (even though I know this is better for snow, but we don't get extreme amounts of snow here, just wintry mix and such), and I don't want to fit a 255 width tire on a 7.5" rim!
So, what are my other options? I can use a set of 2006 Audi A8 5 spoke wheels that are 18x8.5, but they have an offset of 42, and I highly doubt they will clear the front calipers (or fit, for that matter).
And for those of you that think you can get away on the OE tires in the snow, think again. When I was at the Audi dealership the other week, a black RS4 pulled in with a damaged hood, fender, and passenger side head light from when he couldn't stop in the snow and ran into a SUV. Ouch.
Thanks...

I am picking up a......
2007 Daytona/Silver Premium on Monday
I am also looking for a winter tire.
I am ordering a set of Dunlop 3d to fit on original wheels.
Thanks to FLUFFHEAD's recommendation.
Are you looking at run flat tires as wells?
Since there is no spare?
