This is very unusual, I would guess that the 335 guys will now be all over the M3 people soon but for the most part in the 3 series (E46) world the M3 was it and while supercharged 330's could take a stock M3 they never posted they could....is this an Audi thing?

I really love my RS4 and I did considered the S4 Avant as I surf and could have used the room. But I decided to buy a 4x4 truck at the same time and get the RS4. The S4's are great but why the need to tell us is my only question? we know.

Other car marques are very complimentary, polite, supportive, and civilized between models. Not Audi. We need a sociologist (or psychiatrist) to explain why this is.

probably because no one outside the people who own a4/s4/rs4's knows the difference between them so we have to take that frustration out on each other!

How's this for an amateur socialogist view: they like what you have better than what they have, and some can't handle it.

It's mostly the B5 crowd, as the B6 and B7 S4 owners don't trashtalk here as a rule. The B5 crow was left in the dust by the 340HP B6 S4, and the new RS4 has them rally bothered. Some, not all. And the heavily modded B5's, well, they do have something to boast about. But, they should show some respect too.

Turbocharged Audi owners felt special because theres' was the car with near-unlimited potential, and did what other manufacturers failed to do with turbos. When Audi deemphasized forced induction in later models, and especially in the S and RS lines, they felt betrayed by Audi. Since they can't take it out on a corporation, some B5 owners choose to take it out on B6 and B7 owners and make it personal. This thinking has become infectious for a few and focuses on the top of the A4 brand. To some the RS4 is a magnificent automobile. To others it is a magnificent insult to the loyal.

The "loyal"? Most of these adolescents who crash your board are buying their used B5 S4's at cut rate prices and then trying to transform them into bad *** cars...and some do, my hat's off to them. Others are just out to lunch, and don't understand the big picture.
