That S4 would beat the RS4 in anything but cost I'd say.

Default in terms of cost, it would make more sense to compare it to a loaded M5 or E63.

look at it this way: if you add the cost of just the CF hood and the brake kit to the cost of the new S4 25th, you have yourself a RS4.

suspension is $4k
brake kit $4k
hood $8k
SC $24k
wheels/tires $3500
exhaust $3k
sways $500
plus more...

so that's $47,000 right there, and then you have to get everything installed. S4 25th was about $61,000 new. so it's probably in the $110k range altogether, including installation.

Default probably not resale value either, despite the cost.

and that's the really sad part.

I wonder if you can you drop that SC into an RS4? now that would be sick.

Default not sure if it's the same unit, but MTM has a SC for the RS4.

makes 535hp, IIRC. got an extra $30,000 burning a hole in your pocket?

Default Agreed. You can dump $40,000 in mods......

and get back $3000 in a few years if you are lucky. Mods can actually devalue the car in the used car circuit.

Default I was thinking, even if he uninstalled everything.....

...which would be a major PITA, he *might* get 40-50% of the initial investment in mods, at best. I've resold a couple of things over the years that I was able to get near what I paid for them (spare ECU would be one example), but usually it's less than half the original cost.
