I painted the cross member body color. I also painted the license plate frame body color. The combination of these two things not only give a fully finished look to an otherwise unsightly front plate, but it really serves to DE-EMPHASIZE the plate. Not sure if the pics really do it justice, but in real life, the difference is quite dramatic.

Default I live in Mass also and did not get the front plate mounting assembly on delivery. Is your front

plate mounted on the stock assembly or just attached to the plateles front cross member? Your body color frame does soften the look of the front plate. Nice job.

Default Here's what you need to do....

The plate frame won't properly fit into the cutout for the plate in the front crossmember. The plate frame is just slightly too wide. You need to use 1/4" thick rubber washers behind the plate itself at the screw points, to bring it out a little so the plate and plate frame can then be fitted in "in front" of the cross-member. Works well and is a very sturdy installation. You will need 1" screws to attach through the plate frame, plate, washers, and into the screw points on the crossmember. I also put some 3/8" foam weather stripping material behind the plate inself to give some more secure padding behind the plate. Hope this helps.
