An article in "Sports Car Market" a few months ago said that many insurance companies are now excluding coverage for cars driven on a "racing surface". This replaces the old wording that excluded "racing or practicing for racing".
The really bad part of this is that, according to the lawyer/enthusiast that wrote the article, the companies might exclude even liability coverage. Imagine covering the costs of a law suit if some stuff happens and you end up injuring someone else. (As happened last year when a Ferrari tboned a Carrera GT at a HPDE and killed the occupants.)
