Please give reasons for your choice also. Thanks.

Default I would see what the weight difference would be. any unsprung mass taken off the front of the car

makes a difference.

Alcons. Similar performance and much cheaper to service. I go through rotor rings every year.

Default Ceramic would be more bad *** and unique, but Alcons are awesome too...

If the cost was the same I would personally go for the Ceramics.

Default I have actually seen a RS4 with the ceramics it was white/black if its anyone on here...

I was at the dealer recently and asked about the ceramic brakes. They said its not a option and they can't get them. Which is strange because they come on the S8 and are an available option in europe. Also i believe someone posted on here about seeing a RS4 at a dealership with the ceramics...

Any idea how much they run?

Default Here are a couple data points...

RS4 14.3" Stock Rotor: 25.05lbs
STaSIS/Alcon 14.5" Rotor: 20.75lbs

RS4 Stock Caliper w/ Pads - 13.3lbs
Alcon 6 Piston Caliper w/ Pads - 10.1lbs

Unsprung benefits over stock are fairly obvious. I haven't had a ceramic system in my hands so I cannot comment on weight of those components, however in cost...

Audi Ceramic System using 6 Piston Caliper ~ $8500-9000
STaSIS 14.5" Alcon Monobloc 6 Big Brake Kit - $3895.00 (Currently $3310!)

Replacement Rotors of the Alcon system are approximately $700 for the pair, reusing your existing rotor hats and always readily available.

Oh and they look so choice, if you have the means, I highly recommend picking them up;-)

Somebody here (sorry I forget who) tracked his car at Road America and said he had some fade.

Alex says they run ~$9000 in his post above.
