Hi folks,

I'm a new RS4 cab owner (picked up last Nov) - for security concerns I would like to install the APR chip primarily for the ECU disablement feature ("kill switch")...but apparently APR hasn't developed this functionality yet - despite the claim on their website.

(BTW, I have the APR chip in my '01 S4 and it saved the car from certain theft - highly reccomended!)

Does anyone know if APR is developing this security functionality?
Is there an alternative option (although I would prefer to stay w/ proven APR quality)?

they haven't release it yet but will be out in a month or so.. you can buy the tune now and just go back the shop to get the programs added when they are released with no charge.

Thx! - This is very good to hear, I've been checking in monthly w/ APR directly (since I bought the car) and they did say that a security lock-out feature was in the works.

This is good news if this is really only a month away - I will likely wait and get the tune & security feature in one visit.
