Default FWIW Tire Rack discards tires after about 24 months. Great article...

Did you see all those Firestone Wilderness AT tires in the 'graveyard' from the Ford Explorer rollover debacle? Man that sure was a mess.

Default Note how most of the crashed cars from failed tires are SUVs/Vans = high sidewall

Yet another reason for me not to get one.

I've completely lost a tire at 70mph from a pothole (IS300), and you could barely tell it was gone because it was low profile. No serious handling issues.
