Default invoice

While browsing for more reviews on the RS4, I saw that the invoice is $60,200. Just thought I would post this number for people who are waiting to get their RS4s when the demand and hype have come down.

Default Demand and hype will not calm down due to the fact that less than 1,000 will be built a year.

It's only a 2 year production car.
Also with the way the car is equipped invoice is closer to $69k than $60k.
You forgot to mention that it is a $60k invoice + $2,100 for gaz guzzler and $720 for destination so you are already at $63k.
No one will be buying a RS4 for invoice..

Default all i am trying to say is

that the MSRP and Invoice are $6000 apart that's excluding gas guzzler tax. I am pretty sure that later down the line when the impatient people [i.e., me (RS4 arrives June 30th)] have already gotten their cars, that the dealerships will be willing to negotiate on the price. In general, paying MSRP or more is for those who are not willing to wait.

Default The Gulf Coast region is

probably the slowest and most depressed market in the US and it is still selling six to seven cars per week according to the Audi regional sales manager.

Default I agree the cars will eventually be sold at under MSRP...

My dealer told me that when all was said and done, they made about $4K on my purchase at MSRP. It may be total BS, but with quarterly incentives it is in the ballpark of the numbers AlexTTQ used.

How much dealers are willing to discount all depends on demand. And we just don't know the demand for a $70K A4. BTW, the $73K+ I paid for my fancy A4 has been worth every penny to me. No way would I wait until next year to possibly save a couple thousand bucks on this car.

Default Yup, there is 6K in dealer profit to negotiate down.

I am also waiting for Alcantara to be an option. I am sick of sitting on leather.
