The <a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306173">version 1.0.1 update</a> for the iPhone was recently released by Apple and although nothing specific was documented about a bluetooth pairing issue fix, it seems that somehow that has now been worked out. No extended trials yet but after my 40 minute drive to work today (traffic makes a 10 mile drive take that long), the iPhone did not unpair at all like it normally does, without being plugged into the car charger. On the way home, same findings, no random unpairing issues after the usual 5-10 minutes of driving. It stayed paired the whole time and only unpaired when the ignition key was removed. We'll see if this problem was really remedied after a few more drives this weekend...

Let me know what you iPhone users experience after doing the software update.

i'll install it tonight and report back tomorrow. it's getting to the point where i'm now having the occasional random unpairing even with the phone plugged in!

The phone was in my pocket rather than plugged in like usual. I had people with me and was not paying attention so I did not even think aboutit until I read your post. Thanks for pointing this out.

POS 8gb won't pair, Tried resetting the RNS-E and Restarted the iPhone. No luck.

The old 4gb did pair, but it unpaired after riding around for a while. Too bad the screen took a dump.

Oh well.

yup. I get that weird feedback-like noise before a call too, not always though. very bizarre.
