iPhone Interface Package for RS4
 

Whats up fellow RS4 owners, I'm new to the site and have just recently purchased my RS4!! I've been like a kid in the candy shop trying to find out whats good for my new beast and figured everyone here would have some great advice.

So, wondering if anyone has purchased the iPhone interface package that hooks into existing phone preparation mount. If so, does it work well and do you recommend it?

I was also thinking about buying that. It seems to me its a glorified charger. No additional features that I've seen.

If anyone has it and it has more options I definitely would like to know.

Yeah, kinda does seem like a charger mainly, but I got the impression that music could be streamed through Bluetooth as well? Maybe I'm just reading into it since that's what i WANT it to do...anyone else know the delio?

I think you retain the same bluetooth features (signal, bluetooth calls, etc) that you have without it. It only charges the phone from what can figure out.

Thanks! I just checked em out and gave them a call and they do know exactly what you need for DIY package to get iPod integrated into the stock MMI system. Seems fairly straightforward, just need to do a lil more research on it before I start messing w/ it. I've been told that RS4's are particularly sensitive to components being added to the factory setup but I think this option seems pretty solid....anyone have first hand experience w/ the parts? Here is what they said I would need for RS4:

-Dension GW16AC1 Gateway 100 Audi12 Pin (main part for integrating the control and function of iPod)
-Dension IPO3DC9 (iPod cable)
-Enfig AUDI SAT PASS 3 (allows for splitting the connection to Sirius so won't lose this feature!)
-one of the iPod docks which can mount into ash tray
