iPhone tip
I was having some of the same connect/disconnect problems others reported w/ the iPhone, etc. I needed a car charger so I picked one up today and when the phone is plugged into the charger, it stays connected. Some of the posts I saw on the navplus site included things like disabling autolock, etc., which I really don't want to do. Bth is power hungry so they probably have some power mgmt policies that change behavior based on when externally powered vs operating on battery.
Also, I'm quite impressed w/ the Bth stack and supported services in the iPhone. This is the first phone I've tried where ALL the Audi features work. Phone book sync, dialed calls, missed calls, signal strength, etc.

That's good news! I just ordered one of these...
I have an older iPod car charger that plugs-in fine to the iPhone and seems to be able to charge it, but it does prompt me with an error message on the iPhone's display that goes something like "not a certified accessory, would you like to go into airplane mode to avoid audio interference" (I get the same message when I plug it into the MB's ipod interface). While it's probably not a big deal, I'd rather be safe than sorry on a $600 phone, so I ordered this "works with iPhone" certified car charger with a clean design that seems like it would blend in nicely with the interior enough to leave it in the outlet permanently.
