Default Its Landed... NEW owner

Picked up my Daytona Grey 2008 from Jack Daniels yesterday. Traded in my "gasp" GT3; which I was not driving enough. The ride home on Merritt was loads of fun. Hard to keep it in the break in RPM zone!!. It was great to be able to take the entire family out in a sports sedan last night. (btw, I was worried about how the alumin. trim was going to look. Not anymore!!) Need to spend some time with the manuals and then order some mounted snows. 18" wheels are ok, correct? They will clear the rotors? Thx

Default Congrats - yes 18's work for snows

but a few of us run 19's with no issues in the snow as you can get the Dunlop 3Ds

Default congrats! so you traded-in a 997 GT3?

funny because I considered going the other direction by trading in my RS4 for a GT3 but after seeing a neighbor who also doesn't drive it that much take out the lower front valence several times through my building's parking garage exit ramp, I opted to keep it "practical" by getting an M3.

Enjoy it!

I think I test drove your car in April. I think they also gave me your original wheels and tires.

Congrats it is a nice one.

Default Congrats on the RS4

The car is great!!! It has the performance of a sports car and the comfort of a luxury car. If you have a family or live where it snows/rains, the car will be perfect.

Driving my 997 GT3 is the most fun I've had in a car. Light weight, race-like suspension, high reving etc. It's an absolute beast and a blast to drive. I live in California and have no children so I can drive it whenever I want. The ride/comfort isn't very good but totally expected for a track oriented car. The front spoiler takes a beating but the part is ~$150 so I don't really care if it gets trashed.
