I've decided that in 3 years I will buy an R8.
By that time, I believe the V10's will be out and the ridiculous $50K "market adjustments" will be gone.
This is, of course, assuming that the wife and I don't start having kids. *fingers crossed*

Better hope the price of gas isn't like $8.00 /gal by then. This is my fear.....
that gas prices, environmental concerns will mark the end of the high performance gasoline engine before too long.

Nothing to fear, it'll be gradual. Besides, there are already bullet fast electric cars out there
in experimental form. That'll only improve with appropriate technology focus.
More likely is a complete crackdown on excessive noise and speeding on public roadways. That's OK too, more tracks will pop up. Mind you, many urban tracks now have the old decibel meter check so perhaps the roar of a Milltek is an endangered species!
