Default I've had the car now for 8 hours and it sucks

gas like no tommorow, only drawback. (caught ya lookin'!) Shifts effortlessly, much better than my e46 M3 also the interior is a combination of the best of old and new. Having had every iteration of e46 ( sedan convert and M3 coupe), a 996 and my family having all the new Bimmers ( V10 M5, M6 and 750iL) I can truly say I prefer the RS4 to all. Yes the leather in the new 997s is nice but the lay out and plastic I find much cheaper and confusing compared to the RS4. Simple easy to find and use high quality and weight (possible drawback). Still don't like the "hump" in the BMW for the Nav Screen and MMI is more instinctual than I-drive. Yes I love the power, and of course sound. Ohhh the sound. I find myself searching out tunnels to truly embrace the aural beauty. From my previous experience I would liken it to a cross between the V10 M5 and the e46m3. Still have a hard time believing this car has four doors. Hmmmm should I use the SD cards the Sat radio or the CDs choices, choices. I commend BMW for going in a new direction but Audi is taking up where they left off; building driver oriented machines instead of stylist oriented machines. Spoken from a previous BMW fan now pulled to the power of the four true rings. (Isn't it amazing how this car brings out the poet in everyone?)

Default Now you are making me really jealous. My car isn't here yet, but maybe, just maybe...

it will be here in Denver next week - fingers crossed. My car arrived at the port yesterday, so hopefully it will only take a week to 10 days to make it here.

The pessimist in me is saying 2 weeks+, but the optimist is saying next week !!!

Default Man..I've been lurking this forum for awhile, jealous of every word spoken, but

saying you prefer it to a v10 M5, M6, and 996 is a pretty bold statement. I have yet to drive any of those cars, but is the RS 4 that much better? I can only dream. *sigh*

Default Not better, different, this is just my preference given my experience base

For my Dad the M5 is awesome he is retired and doesn't want a manual but likes to shift so SMG is great for him. I have had a SMG M3 and just prefer a manual now that I've been to some driving schools. Also the layout is perfect for me, I like stupid little things like the armrests, and the speed of the one touch windows. BMW have taken a bold independent direction that just doesn't resonate with me. And I hate to sound like a wuss but the porsche no matter how great it is carries both a stigma and prestige and you have to take both if you want the car. With Audi there is no stigma (sticky accelerator pedal is known only to old farts like me from the eighties) but the stealth factor is a huge benefit in my opinion. just my 2 cents! Pictures hopefully by the weekend
