dont have the info on my but theres a tuner out in CT...
i think in danbury, someones rs4 went on ebay that had everything on it including (may have misread) a custom revo map that was created by one of the head software engineers cost was around 800 if i remember correctly he did mention the software was tuned with dp's on and "is not as effective without them"

That was "edwardschmedward". He's posted about it here in the past...
It's the same car that had the red leather treatment done to it. I believe all the work was done at Farnbacher Loles.

Re: Do tell.
Revo is the only one, IIRC, that actually works with Audi engineers in writing code for their software. They evidently have access to Audi resources that the others don't. Many of the other ECU upgrade outfits are simply winging it, doing the software based on their in-house experience and testing. While that may be good, it's not the same as developing side by side with Audi, as does Revo.

No, I think you are thinking of a different company. Revo doesn't have the best reputation...
and has been linked to shady programming practices.
The reading might be thick for some...
Basically, Revo gave customers a "free" trial chip that only lasted a few hours. After the free trial expired, they were promised that the car would go back to stock.
Well, it doesn't. It goes back to a program significantly slower than stock and there's not a damn thing the customer can do about it...other than buy a Revo chip.
A buncha' hacks at best...and they have no connections to Audi. MTM and ABT do.
Sorry.<ul><li><a href="http://www.checksumm.com/chiptuning/interesting-revo-findings-t1135/index.html?t=1135&highlight=revo">This is true.</a></li></ul>

How new is your information on Revo?...
granted, my info is from their website, but if I was to buy ECU tuning, it would be from Revo. MTM doesn't have much representation in the US, APR is behind the curve(way late on plug-in, still doing ECU swaps), and ABT I am not familiar with.
About the Revo chip reverting to lower than stock, while I can see your line of reasoning there(trap the customer), I find that hard to believe...the nothing you can do about it part. Wouldn't it amount to a simple re-flash by Audi dealer?
