Default JHM 'piggie' pipes

I'm getting very close to purchasing the 'piggie' downpipes that JHM (http://www.jhmotorsports.com/shop/ca...10fb3261c2e99f) offers for the RS4. I just wanted to see if anyone on here has done the mod and if they have any feedback from there experience? It will really add some grunt to my cat-back Milltek hopefully, as well as some power above 5k rpm's. They remove the cats and move the 02 sensor to eliminate the otherwise CEL. Any reviews of this mod?

I really wanted to do headers, but they do not offer them for the B7 RS4. They claim that we already have a pretty decent setup (much better than the B7 S4) and so it's not really necessary.

Thanks for any feedback, and it would be appreciated.

might as well do it yourself costing almost nothing.

remove your downpipes, gut/drill out the precats, install an O2 VAST spacer (also called a non-fouler which you can buy at pepboys, autozone, etc) and you now have piggies.. that's basically what JHM does, kinda stiff for the $400+ they charge imo.

keep in mind the $400 is you shipping your OEM to them in exchange, otherwise it's $1000 if you don't exchange yours. so i'd say just modify your own pipes and save the hassle from paying extra and having to ship your pipes out.

by the way, these are the downpipes i got fast intentions to build for me.

$1300 and they're beautifully built unlike the many other more expensive options out there.. just another option for ya..

wow. those Fast Intensions pipes are nice my man. If I was capable of doing it myself I definitely would. So you think Fast Intensions is the better route? I like the sounds of $400 a lot better. Can you tell a difference in performance/sound? I'm trying to justify this mod. Thanks

well the best bang for the buck is the piggies, but you will get slightly better sound from downpipes and increase air flow which will yield slightly more HP too. i will dyno my car next week so i'll know more about gains, but also add to the fact they're stainless so they last forever.

what you can also have done is have a local muffler shop cut out the precats and weld a straight pipe, that will be as close to downpipes performance as you can get.

or im sure you can find a local shop willing to gut your precats for you, might be a good option too. the O2 does not have to be relocated - just a spacer is needed.. pretty sure you can get a shop to do this for $300~ which would be reasonable for 2-3 hrs of labor and you save the hassle from shipping/fees/etc (about $40-50 to ship your pipes) so you're already up around $500 (not including labor to remove and install them)..

2nd. Why pay JHM to do something you can do in your garage?
