Default Just dropped off the RS4 to have a clear bra installed...

not really a big fan of the seam that results from clear bras that become visible on dark colored cars but I figured it probably wouldn't show as much on a car as brightly as misano red. Since the hood and fenders are aluminum and since I will be tracking the car quite a bit, I thought a clear bra would be a good idea. I'll post pics when it's done.

and btw, got a VW Passat 4-motion as a loaner with a monsoon system that actually blows the Bose system in RS4 away... at least in the bass department

Default my dad has a full clear bra on his Brilliant Red S4 and at...

some angles you can definitely see the lines, but at others you can't even tell it's there. One of the major angles where you can tell its there is looking at the hood from the side (wheel to wheel). Once you start moving to the front of the car that's when it starts to disappear.

Default Good move.....

I'm of course having it done as well, but I'm very concerned b/c my car is black. I've already spoken to the shop and they are going to see if they can do the entire hood so there is no line.

There are places in CA that use 50" material and that will definitley work, but 3M only goes up to 48" and might not fit out hoods.

I'll ask them to take pics during the install.

Default I've had mine 3 1/2 years with no haze. Don't use a ****ty plastic..

Use a reputable manufacturer.

It also makes a difference on how you wash it and take care of it.
