especially considering my RS4 is a less popular red color.
Oh well, at least it'll still save me about $4k+ in taxes by trading-in and I don't have to deal with the headache of trying to sell it privately. Taking into account the tax savings, I'm basically getting $52k for a 2007 with 14k miles that's been ridden hard like **** star. Not too bad in my book.
So then I will most likely pull the trigger when the new ride arrives any day now.

No kidding things have changed...
I looked on an Audi dealer site here(bay area) today and they had half a dozen 08 RS4's in stock with $5k off MSRP offered on every one. I figure with that amount volunteered, you should be able to get another $2k to $3k off on top of that, easy.

BTW Bob...
do you think gas prices have something to do with the sudden steep discounting of RS4's and BMW M's? And don't say economy alone because that's not stopping people from turning around and buying hybrids or anything that get's decent gas mileage.

of course it has *something* to do with it.
but I also think it's a reflection of people buying cars they can't really afford. I think that has at least as much to do with it as the price of fuel.

yes the DCT cars are here...
I ordered a coupe w/ DCT and it arrived at the South Carolina port last friday.
According to the bmw forums, many US customers have already taken deliveries of DCT-equipped coupes, sedans, and convertibles as early as May. There's even a few threads on DCT transmission failures already lol! But I believe they were just software bugs like how the first E60 M5's SMG3 trannies had teething problems.
