Just picked up RS4

Just picked up RS4
Just picked up a black on black for my daily driver. Don't know much about the vehicle, last Audi I owned was a RS6, and last car was a 997 Turbo (modded).
On the RS4, is their like a clutch delay valve or something? I noticed that trying to shift hard from 1st to 2nd, there seems to be a like a delay before engaging.
Am tempted to mod but I'm trying to remain disciplined not to mod my daily driver as I'm trying to convince myself "that's what the other car is for".
Anyway, my SD drive never gets out of "loading" after 1 hour so I'm wondering is 8GB is too big or something.
My dealer told me the CD changer was MP3 capable but I think he may not be well informed as none of my MP3 CDs work in the changer.
Any input is much appreciated, as I will spend most of my driving in this car since it's a daily driver...oh got a hell of a deal on it so I couldn't refuse this as a daily.

There's also a file number limit built into the system
so no matter the size of the card used, anything beyond that file number doesn't show up. Navplus.us can give you more info. I haven't had any issues with 2gb Sandisk Extreme cards with about 18 albums worth of music on each card.

Re: Just picked up RS4
I feel that clutch sensation as well going from 1st to second. I have a 911 race car for club racing and got used to that clutch. So I thought maybe it was just me. My last Audi was a RS6 as well. I decided ... like you, to get the RS4 for daily driving. I love the car! That being said their is either a delayed engagement or something going from 1st to 2nd. It does not happen in any of the other gears. I do not think there is anything wrong with it. If you find anything out let me know. Thanks.

Same thought
I had a BMW Z4 in which I had the same problem. I brought the car to Zeckhausen in NJ and he took out the CDV. Night and day difference and i realized I really DONT have a neurologic problem - it was the car.
I agree the car feels like it has a CDV and smooth shifting is very hard, particularly under power.
I find this clutch very difficult to drive and I had driven MT cars for nearly 30 years. I am getting better with it still not thrilled.
I agree. If anyone knows anything about a CDV, let me know.

I feel the same way, my 997T with stage 2 clutch felt easier to "operate". With the RS4 I'm having a hard time rev matching on down shifts, the accelerator doesn't seem to very responsive unless I'm neared flooring it. The 1st to 2nd engagement seems the toughest to "learn" or get used to.
