Laser pro park

So finally, two weeks ago my laser pro park laser diffuser came through the mail from the UK and I finally took pictures after the install.

That is awesome! Please let us know about its effectiveness!

By the way, are there states where having that is illegal?

According to Radar Roy

Laser Jammers and Radar Jammers are illegal in the states of Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC.

http://www.radarbusters.com/support/laws/radar-detector-laws.asp</a

I thought radar jamming was illegal in all 50 since its a federal issue?

I think I even read that on RR's site a few months ago.. Maybe I misread that?

Radar jamming IS illegal in all states.

dxben 11-05-2006 08:12 PM

I thought so because it interfers with military operations and air traffic systems [I'm assuming]

yourk 11-05-2006 08:27 PM

different wavelengths..

its actually illegal because its obstruction of justice.

dxben 11-05-2006 08:32 PM

oh so its not a federally regulated issue? i thought it was since its radio based and therefore FCC

jurisdiction?

dxben 11-05-2006 08:33 PM

that also doesn't make sense since laser jamming is "obstruction of justice"

i think this has to do with FCC. also radar jamming is radar jamming. if you can jam one frequency clearly you can jam others no?

surely there are defense implications?

yourk 11-05-2006 08:56 PM

laser jammers do NOT broadcast like Radar Jammers do.

Radar Jammers broadcast radar to confuse radar guns. Laser Jammers do NOT broadcast, they just recieve and cancel the return signal.
