Is this a legit RS4 on ebay? probably not...
Anybody has access to carfax that can run the VIN? Should I report this guy or just reply back to the guy. The email sounds total legit though, but then again it could be a generic email that was sent to all people emailing him. Is this guy totally nieve of what kind of car he has.
What does everyone think of this??
Sorry if this is a repost.

I sent person an email and this was his response:
Hello there,
I appreciate your interest in my vehicle. The car is located in Pennsylvania.
I am selling it under market value as I need the funds for a major investment.
My final price is $ 42,000 .The shipping/handling fees will vary depending on your location and will be covered by the buyer. You will inspect the car before the payment will be made.
I will only deal through Ebay for our own protection, they will hold and insure your money until receipt of the car in good condition.A 15 days inspection period will start from the day you will receive the car, in this time you must inspect it(authorized dealers only) and complete the transaction.
The vehicle has a clear title. The car is in showroom conditions inside and out. There are no dimples, dents or scratches of any kind, normal usage.Exterior and interior are in a very good shape. The car drives and looks brand new and has an incident free history.Warranty and service records available.
If you are absolutely interested to purchase it you must provide me with your full name and address so I can register the deal with Ebay.I will also email you the bill of sales for our transaction, you will have to print it, fill in the blanks and email it back to me so I can register our deal legally.
Please forward any questions about the car or the transaction and I'll reply in a timely fashion. I hope we can do business.
Regards,
Ted Scott

The exterior/interior color combo doesn't match sparkhill's database for that VIN.
Not sure how the database info was gathered, but may be worth looking into.
For that price, it'd be worth the flight/drive to PA and put your hands on the car.

I don't think so
eBay does not hold anybody's money and the eBay fraud insurance for cars has a $20k limit.
There is also no "registering" of deals with eBay. You put up and add, sell your car, and that is it.
This sounds very fishy to me although the add seems ok. The reserve is not met, but if it is at $42k, you know what they say about "too good to be true."
