list of OE tires shipped on US RS4s?
I'd RTFM but the car hasn't been delivered yet. Tirerack lists the PS2, PZero Rosso, and Conti SportContact 3.
Does anyone know of a document, from Audi, that has a list of tires the RS4 ships with?
I'm considering purchasing a "tires for life" program from the dealership that replaces tires once they hit the wear bars. Seems like a good deal but I'm scared about getting sub-par replacements. As an example, the CPO car currently has Michelin Pilot Sports (not PS2s). The load rating on this tire is not "XL" at 1389 pounds, but dealer is insisting that the Pilot Sport is an "approved" tire.
Alternatively, is there literature from Audi that calls for a minimum load rating?
Thanks for any help!

$3k, Roger Beasley Austin, but...
sounds good, right? PS2s from Tirerack are over $1k for the set without delivery charges. But the fine print is killing me. Tires are said to be replaced when tread is 3/32" or less. I have to pay for a rotation and balance every 5k miles (doing it myself doesn't count). I don't get to pick the tires, but they will be replaced by tires from a list of mfgrs that includes Cooper, Dayton, Delta, Denman, Kelly-Springfield, Uniroyal, and Vogue (Conti, Mich, and Pirelli are on the list too). I'm told that they'll replace the tires using the ones on the car as a reference; already have an issue with that as regular Pilot Sports don't meet XL load rating. Coverage is not transferrable.
Wonder if I'll still have the car anyway by the time the plan pays for itself...

You got a point...but with a short list of tires in the OEM size there isn't that many "bad" ones.
Dependng on the price for the option..... I'll burn through anything they give me. There has to be a catch to the "tires for life" thing. One set every 30K or something like that.
