Default Lookin for some help guys... How do you remove the shift boot and trim pieces around the dash

I am trying to install the carbon interior pieces to replace my piano black. i found a write up on audizine but it is not very specific. I know their are some tabs under the leather but does anyone know exactly where they are? and do I remove the ashtray first?

Also, I bought the parts off a Euro car and they do not have the lighter/12v in the ashtray. Do you think I can use a hair dryer and then remove the piano blk piece from my stock ashtray and switch it with the carbon one?
Thanks for the help and I would post pics if i could figure out how

Just wait for the CF pieces to be on hand then the uninstall should be very clear.
