Lowering

Lowering
I am looking to lower my car to get rid of some wheel gap. What would most of you recommend..H&R springs or KW coilovers? My only worry with just springs is that the shocks will wear out faster.

well...we don't see anyone complaining about the KW V3's clunking, as we do with Stasis.
some of the RS6 guys seem to be losing their patience w/Stasis, it seems.
in terms of features, the KW's fall between the stasis MS and SL, yet they're less expensive than both.
just sayin'...

cmon Bob....
Our B6 and B7 suspensions are perfect and noise free. I would recommend these kits to my grandmother! Please don't spread misinformation about our kits.
We do have occasional noise issues with our older C5 chassis suspension, and we are working on new solutions every day. We even post updates on our site as to what we have tried...

sustaining engineering document, C5

Not trying to start anything, but there are many B6/B7 owners with MS having noise issues...
I had MS on my B6 S4 and had noise issues. I don't think it caused any performance issues, but it was annoying.
There are two people I see on a regular basis that have been complaining about the noise for a while now.
Other then the noise I still think STaSIS is the only way to go if money is no object..I would have got the SL's if they were out when I got my SSP setup even knowing that my MS had noise issues.

How long has it been since the C5 suspension was released?
Hasn't the C5 chassis been out for almost 5 years now? I understand you guys are looking into it but this stuff has been out for years now. I don't blame the customers for being a little upset.

I had some serious issues with clunking ...
in my rear shocks. and needless to say Stasis were very eager to point fingers at my installer. ultimately, it was discovered that the rear shocks were blown. stasis did take the shocks back and repair them. but, i never received a response from the ceo after writing a letter of complaint to him.

Bob...I have KW 3's on my 3.2TT, and they're fine..but...
My experience with the Stasis motorsports is that they can be slightly more demanding...whatever issues people have, I have had two...but...they perform far better than the KW 3's on my TT, and the staff at Stasis bends over...not like an inmate in the shower...but definately bends over backwards to keep my happy with the product. Yes, they are expensive. It's like any non Japanese high performance product...demanding/rewarding.
I have two sets of Ohlins Flag series that just came in for the Sti and Evo...that should be interesting.
