Default LPP Installed today...

Sorry for the crappy pics off of the blackberry...dig cam is with fiance.....but here it is...It was a 4.5 hour install. I had it done by a local stereo dealer in RI after speaking with the installer himself, and going over exactly what I wanted...I told him of my concerns, and that the grill wold have to come off.."No way, I just installa shifter on an Aston Martin, and a sweet 911T, with no problem.."
Well, the bumper did indeed have to come off. It came out sweet. He cut the grill, and spent about an hour with a file on the grill so it fits perfect, and is almost not even noticable...

Default Wow, that is a fantastic install.

When I'm ready, I'll get the installers name from you. Let us know about your first "kill".

Default Awesome

You should be pleased with your installer or yourself. That's awesome. We'll keep each other posted if we get tagged. Did you end up using phormula?

Default I went with Phormula, they were awesome...had LPP in one week

I'm away for one week, but I would imagine it would only be a few weeks till I am "lit up." The state police are pretty vicious around here with laser on 95 in CT. The RI state troopers use predominately Ka, which the 8500 has never failed me on. I'm very happy with the installer. I had every intention of bailing on him this morning prior to meeting him. However, he was all fired up to do the install, and I could tell he took a ton of pride in his work. The install ran 275, and I threw him a generous tip. He certainly dederved it. It really looks awesome. The LED on the dash is factory in appearance.

Is $820 around the price you paid for the dual head unit?

Default Great install. I'm going to try mounting mine behind the grill and see what happens. With dual head

at least one should have a good angle. But I guess I will see

But at the distances they fire at, the 'funneling' performed by the grill should be minimal.

Besides, I can always have the installer cut the grill later if that doesnt work out.
