I tried to tell them....
I use tot work there...tried to convince them that oval tips were desired by RS4 owners.
There were some challenges to making a switch to oval tips but it looks like they're standing pat.
I loved the sound, fit, finish and certainly the price was right, but in the end, I tossed it for the Milltek for the aesthetic value.
I noticed no real difference in power, so I'm sure the MagnaFlow probably makes close to the 20+hp that the Milltek does.

Here's a few.....
Milltek is imported from the UK. maganflow is US produced.
Magnaflow makes exhausts for a larger number of vehicles and has a higher overall production volume. I'm sure they cross-use piping for their exhausts between models, and then the whole "economy of scale" thing kicks in.

Honestly, I don't mind either look. Both look "powerful" in different ways. Although....
for what it's worth, 2 out the 3 RS4 aftermarket exhausts now come with quad tips - MTM and Magnaflow

The difference in price a little more understandable when you consider...
what Vijay mentioned plus the Magnaflow is on sale right now. The regular price is $1196 vs $1699 for non-res Milltek. (But $2899 for their valved, resonated CB is just retarded IMO) In time, Strat always lowers their prices as more competition appears.
It's a shame Magnaflow chose not to design a new exhaust tip for this application. If they had, they'd clean up. Their exhaust should perform better given that it has a true X-pipe. That makes a noticeable difference vs the H-pipe used on the Milltek.

Talked with a tech at Magnaflow about a month ago and he said that they would post dyno resluts.
Not thrilled about the tips and like the Miltek better, but the sound and perhaps documented hp gain together with a reasonable price makes it an easier decision to go with Magnaflow. Thanks to Bob W. for mentioning the system a while ago.
