Default Many Scratches on the navigation display surface when picking up RS4

Hi! Guys, I picked up RS4 today. I have really been happy with the car until I find a lot of small and large scratches on the display surface. I think scratches were made by some one who cleaned up inside of the car in the dealership. I showed them to the salesman in the dealership. He said that he needed to talk with a sales manager. The sales manager was off today, so he will call me tomorrow to talk about the scratches. What should I do about it? Is it reasonable that I ask Audi to compensate for the scratches? For example, free Audi care. If he does not accept Audi care for the compensation, then how do I deal when I talk with the sales manager tomorrow? What is your opinion? Pleas help me.

Default the only way to really square up, is jsut have them replace that specific part. there should...

...be no reason for them not to do that.

you got a pic?

No, I don't have a picture. Is it possible to replace only the scratched display panel part to new one in the RNE system?

Default It was new today? Well sure they should replace the whole unit...

but the sales manager has the problem of explaining the damage they did to AoA, so be prepared to stay cool. You "obviously would be very careful with a new car so it's not possible you did it"

they don't have time/training/parts to strip items like this down to component level to just replace a screen, that's why I said replace the whole unit

Yes, it was. After the salesman saw the scratches, he cleaned the display surface with a kind of WINDEX. When I got to home, I found that the whole screen was stained with it. T.T

Default They will or should just pop it out and replace the entire unit. Take about 20 min.

I tell my passengers don't touch unless you want your fingers broken.

That's good advice. "Ooh is that a touchscreen?" No. Even if it were. No touching,

Default I talked with a sales manager today

Today I met the sales manager and showed him pictures that I took. He said that first, mechanics will try to get rid of the stains by using a liquid cleaner, and if it does not work, a RNS unit will be replaced to new one by the warranty. My 2008 RS4 is brand new. I have owned it only two day. After solving the problem with any method, will my car's condition be the same as new one? I worry that any mess-up will happen around the RNS unit area, such as any dirt, scratch, gap, and etc. while the problem is being repaired.
