The more I look at it the more I think there is too much gap with the wheel wells and the wheels/tires.

I dunno, anyone planning on addressing this somehow? And if so, how so?

Default Is it me or do people seem overly concerned with looks rather than performance

wider tires are needed if the engine power is overpowering the car.

Default yeah maybe

they do make a lot more mess when driving through puddles and such, though. i had 10" wide wheels on the rear of my old TT, which sprayed crap all over the side of the car any time I drove through a little bit of water.

Default Interesting.. what about lowering it, maybe that would close some of that gap?

Any downsides? Obviously this is going to affect handling somewhat?

Default Didn't know.. thx for the info though.. good point..

I do think a lot of us (myself included) are fixated on looks. But its easy to do that when you don't have anything to do but stare at pictures all day long until the car gets here...

So its with good reason

Maybe the spacers are still on the car you were looking at.

Default i think the gap is a bit large too, but i do like that i don't bottom out on the same...

...roads as i do with the RS6, even tho the RS4 is on 19s, vs 18s on the RS6. part of this may be due to suspension/DRC improvements. just impressed that the RS4 rides tight, yet smoother than the RS6 over rough stuff.

i think the RS4 has achieved a brilliant balance between handling and ride. i would like to lower a bit, but don't wanna compromise on the handling and ride.

For me, this is one of the few cars that I've seen that looks perfect. I wouldn't change anything.

you look at the car everyday, how often do you use the car to it's full potential??
