Mirror whistle... anyone?

Mirror whistle... anyone?
with windows down at about 35mph+, mirrors make a slight mid-pitch whistle. If I put my hand between mounting arms the whistle goes away. Nice design! At speed with windows up you can still hear it... Just sounds more like dirty air, than a whistle.

That's one thing I loved about driving the S5... 135MPH with the windows down -- NOTHING (read more)
No breeze in your face, no annoying whistles... the next generation of cars is bringing great things.

I've noticed the same thing. Its a function of the mirror connection design.
Those twin spokes cause the wind noise.
In an f430 the mirror has the same connection, but the mirror folds. Depending on the angle you have the mirror housing at you get the same noise. Adjust the mirror housing out a little and it stops.
Wish ours were adjustable?
