Misano Red Finally Arrived
After 9 long months, the wait is over. I have been following this (and others) forum for months. There have been numerous issues/complaints about the RS4 over the last year. I must admit that I was growing a bit concerned. But now that the car is here, I can honestly say that it was worth the wait and that the car is truly Phenomenal!!! I love everything about the car. It looks, feels, and drives like no other car in its class. I have had many months to test drive other vehicles (06 M3 Cab, 911 Carrera, Lexus IS350, Honda S2000, Subaru STi)and none of them brings a smile to my face like the RS4. The sound is incredible. I have a Misano Red with Silver interior.....stunning combo. Also went with 19inch winters (lots of snow here).
Anyhow, just wanted to let everyone know that the car does live up to all my expectations and MUCH more. I know that there will be issues with the car......it's German! Let's face it, All german cars are high maintenence. The importnat thing is having an excellent dealership with an A+ service department.

Don't assume you will have "issues"
I had a stage 3+ '00 S4 with 67,000 miles. Only problem in 4.5 years was a failed water pump.
Wife had an '01 A4. Zero problems in 66,000 miles.
Father has an '02 A6 4.2. Zero problems in 44,000 miles. And he doesn't change the oil regularly either!

Yes, many Audi's seem to be very trouble free, and are probably never heard from on AW. I suspect it is because they aren't trying to mod everything on their car.
Your father needs to send a letter to Audi to get approval for the oil change thing. If not, the 502 curse will follow you thru the rest of your(his) days. I'll try and find you an approval letter somewhere on the internet. Might be in Sudanese though : )
