Default MMI vs. RNS_E

So my understanding is that we do not have MMI but rather RNS-E with MMI like features right? If that's the case what exactly is the difference between the 2 systems.

Thanks!

True MMI has controls in the console and can also change settings on the car, not just radio.

I suspect the interface allows much more - like true iPod with song titles etc.

Default MMI is lots of separate modules ...

situated in different places in the car, connected by fibre optics.

It has many options that the RNS-E dosen't have, like DAB radio, MP3 CD changer, AMI, rear view camera, etc.

Default Very cool..... thanks....

I guess I understand why it's only in the A6/A8/Q7 right now.... we wouldn't have any room to put the extra componenets...

My impression is that MMI gives you more bells & whistles but overall functionality is very similar

Thanks!!
