Default More clutch pedal issues!

I had the bad pedal issue with my car. I took it in to dealership to replace clutch hose and the problem is still there.

The tech said he bled the line multipe times.

It happens when I am driving the car like I stole but not as much under normal driving.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Matt

Default yeah, mine has been a bit spongy/springy since day 1...

...and I had the hose replaced a while back, it didn't really effect the pedal feel at all. I guess I'm kind of used to it now. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be a good aftermarket part that will eliminate this problem...yet.

"spongy/springy" is not the problem... it only returns half way to full position during hard driving.

Honestly if they can't fix this problem they will be buying the car back from me. If I drove this car for 5 minutes in a track event I would go crazy trying to keep the peddle up and in a correct position.

Default There is something really wrong there sorry to hear it. FYI, you may want to try a different

dealership. Not all Audi service departments know what they are doing when it comes to the RS cars.

Default That's exactly what my reaction was to the feel of the RS4 clutch. Personally I really like the

clutchmaster aftermarket clutch/ Light weight flywheel setup in my B5, but like you say don't think they have anything for the B7 RS4 yet.

Default star607 got the Stasis disc (i think it's just a disc)

he said the pedal feel wasn't different from stock, and IIRC he wasn't too thrilled with it (but he can chime in with his opinion).

there is also the MTM clutch/flywheel/disc package, but i don't think anyone here has tried it.

what are the B6 S4 guys using?

Default You mean the hurky-jurky head-lurching issue?

Between the short clutch travel, instantaneous clutch engagement and the bizarre throttle sensitivity, it can be rather difficult (especially in S-mode). I've got 700 miles on my car and I've only done it smoothly in aggressive mode a few times. If I back off to school-zone driving then the clutch and throttle are much more tolerant of my feet. I've never thought of it as an issue, I just figured it will require a learning curve.

Default not it at all

The pedal will literally only return half way up after a gear shift! I have to put my foot under the pedal to bring it back to full position. It seems to loose pressure.
