Default My "New To Me" Beast

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/28396/rs4_12.jpg"></center><p>Picked her up last night. It was the one I posted about a couple of days earlier.

It's a 2007 with 8k miles. Daytona Pearl Effect on Silver w/ Premium Package.

I am glad I pulled the trigger, but I hate the car buying experience every time. It really turns me off. Something always seems shady.

I had been out of an Audi for a little over a year driving an FX45 (which I loved by the way. A lot of people did not like the wacky/over-the-top styling, but I thought it was a great car). Prior to that I has an '04 S4 and before that an '01 A6 2.7t.

I love this car. Can't stop looking at it. It is bone stock and I will probably leave it that way for a few months before I consider the usual suspects of mods (exhaust, down pipes, sway bars).

One thing from my early impressions is that I really dislike the steering wheel. No, not just because we don't have the flat-bottom wheel (that's some of it), but I can't really find any redeeming quality in it. It's too big (diameter from top to bottom seems too large. It hits my knees in my usual driving positions. I have to title the wheel up so high it's like driving a bus. Well not quite), it's thin, hard and not very good looking.

I have read the posts about after-market flat-bottom wheels, but I am not sure if anyone has identified a truly easy swap from our wheel to any of the other in the other Audi line. One where all the wheel functions still worked and you would not have to worry about the airbag not deploying.

A quick question on the Bluetooth capability of our cars? Do you have to dock your phone in a craddle to use the Bluetooth? Is there no way around that? I'll search around, but does anyone know where to get the appropriate craddle for a BB?

Anyway, I have found AW to be a great resource in the past and I know I will find tons of great info and ideas here in the future.

Congrats!!! No docking required. You can keep it in your pocket.

It never has to be docked? Or after the first time it is docked it no longer has to be docked? Sorry if these are dumb questions.

Default Phone never has to be docked, does it all thru the Bluetooth wireless connection

The phone will ask for the Audi's PIN number, which should be 1234, and after that it will recognize it every time you turn on the Bluetooth on your BB. Very simple and clean...

Default Re-sync the phone with the car and it should work out. I had to do it twice before it took.

if it still screws up you might want to check to see if there is a firmware update for your phone.

Absolutely! R32 wheel is very nice. Much better than US version of RS4 wheel.

Default Yup, give it a second try with pairing. Also, I have heard people have a similar problem...

if they have particular bluetooth headsets setup on their phone.

You can try uninstalling any headsets and try again (you should be able to reinstall the headset afterward without a problem).

Half the price and a better wheel. Who'd have thought?
