My 08 RS4 doesn't have a badge on the grill, I wonder if there are any other differences
from the 07. Also when I push the S button the exhaust note changes but I don't notice any difference in the throttle. Supposedly it changes the throttle map. Is it something you can feel?

It does make the throttle more responsive.....
basically, non-sport mode is easier to drive around town. If you really want to feel what it does try this:
Do a fairly hard launch from standstill. At about 4000-5000rpm with the accelerator about 3/4 depressed, hit the S button. You will feel the accelerator suddenly get a bit more responsive. It is not a dramatic difference, but it is there.
