BY BIRDS!!! Went outside at work today for a little air. Strolled by where I had parked my car and I noticed that it had rained and dried (rain associated dust spots on car) I then look at the passenger side door and I notice this white stuff on it. Well turns out to be bird poop....a lot of it. Then I notice all these fine scratches all over the lower part of the door. Almost appears as some birds tried to seek refuge near my car from a passing thunderstorm.

For now, it looks like a good power washing and some coarse grade machine polish/rubbing compound should do the trick. I want to be mad, but I really can't. Kind of an act of nature I suppose.

So I go outside again just a little while ago (I'm on-call at the hospital)and what do I see....BIRDS on the grass right next to my car. Next I observe one of the birds pecking at its reflection in my beautifully polished, shiny Phantom Black car!!!

Damn, you Avus owners are lucky. Not only is it the lowest maintenance color, but you don't have to worry about dumb animals going after their reflection in your car.

Birds poop on my cars as well, I just finished hosing it off.

I'd prefer to avoid birds pecking at my paint job though.

sounds like those birds got nailed in the head by some hailstones. when one starts preening itself in your rear view mirror, i would call animal control.
