Default My new RS4 - Mods, Dyno, Weights, Pics..

Well everyone I sold my B7 S4 a few months back and am now a proud owner of one of my dream cars.. a 2008 Daytona Grey RS4 fully loaded. To keep things short.. after having my S4 modded the way it was, I couldn't resist to do the same mods to my RS4 and offer the community with some hard numbers on the mods.

I'm not going to get into too much detail on reviews of the mods since most people here know what they're all about and how they improve performance on these cars.

Before I start, I owe a big thanks to KMD Tuning for the clean and professional installation of all these mods. The entire staff there was incredibly helpful with all their advice and worked extremely hard to get everything done ASAP. They also did a great job on the dyno runs giving me a lot of info on how the car runs. If anyone in the Tri-State area is looking for a reputable shop I would strongly recommend KMD.

<B>========================= MODIFICATIONS ====================</B>

<B>Tires: </B> Bridgestone Potenza RE0-1R 275/30/19

No rubbing at all on stock wheels with KW-V3 installed. Only the front tires rubbed on the top fender liner screw, just removed it and absolutely no rubbing under any circumstances.

<B>Suspension:</B> KW-V3

AMAZING handling suspension, compared to the Tein SS I had on the S4 there is just no comparison. Although the dynamics of the RS4 might be different than the S4, there is a major difference in ride quality and as well as product quality. Unfortunately for me when I had put the S4 back to stock suspension, we discovered that the dampening adjustment ***** on the Tein SS had all seized. Had to trash them.

<B>Sways: </B> H-Sport

Added a little bit of harshness going over uneven pavement, other than that it is totally worth the handling improvement. It's like driving on rails.

<B>Shifter:</B> KMD Short Shifter

Quality construction. Shorter shift travel feels smooth.

<B>SS Lines:</B> StopTech

Small noticeable difference, would probably appreciate it more on a track day under extremely heavy braking.

<B>Intake: </B> K&amp;N Drop-in Filter

<B>Exhaust: </B> Milltek Full Non-Resonated

Great sound and saved a good amount of weight, about 30lbs. Increased WHP. Check below for dyno charts.

<B>ECU: </B> Revo

Great re-flash that noticeably opened up the engine and made it more peppy. Increase in WHP. Check below for dyno charts.

<B>============================= CHARTS ====================</B>

<B>Dyno Run: </B>

READ HERE BEFORE you read these charts. The first chart is my final dyno run of my B7 S4 with K&amp;N/Full Labree/Revo, it's to be used as sort of a reference as to how power is measured on this dyno.

The stock chart of the RS4 had some kind of error on the readings. Working on getting a ligitimate copy. I'm posting it up to show the Air/Fuel ratio reading which is accurate so we can compare the difference after the Revo flash is done.

The Revo flash alone showed a gain of 7 whp. I think it might be safe to assume that I gained atleast 15 whp from the exhaust. According to Fourtitude.com's dyno test which was done with only a cat-back milltek exhaust, there was a gain of 9whp in that alone. Although it was done on a Mustang dyno, I don't think it should be too far off.

<B>Weight:</B>

READ HERE BEFORE you read these charts. Unfortunately I didn't take the fuel levels into consideration when weighing stock and modified. The stock measure was done with the tank almost down to the last red marking. The fully modified measure was done with half a tank full.

My estimated guess goes as follows (I could be wrong). 1 gallon of gas equals +/- 6 lbs. Stock comes out to around 3,946. After installing the suspension, sways, (heavier) tires, exhaust, I come out to about 3,900. So I think it could be safe to claim a savings of 46 lbs total.

Bring the rear up a smidge, it looks like you're carrying bricks in the trunk. Otherwise...KILLER!

Default REVO... so you add a chip?

I was wondering if one works with the downpipes and cats? Where did you get it from?

What made the stock run numbers inaccurate?
