In my quest for wheels, I spoke with a guy today who said he put 285/25ZR-20 tires on a RS4.
and they fit...we didn't get into the details with respect to spacers and/or fender rolling, but Eric at SPP told me this. Nice guy, seems very knowledgeable...I bought some wheels from him (not THAT size), and they should be arriving early next week. More to come...

If the offset was right and the bulk of the rim was inboard, that makes sense...
gobs and gobs of room inboard... Stasis boys measured my car out and threw out some huge numbers on what they could make work.
