Mystery Electrical Problem Solved
A couple of days ago the entire electrical system "died" while I was attempting to start the car and thereafter, nothing electrical worked. Car was towed off to nearest dealer and they found that the main junction box for all things electric in the rear suffered from loose connections because the box was not affixed to the car properly. Apparently, whatever the loose wiring set off also shorted the battery. So, I have a new battery and "tight" wiring. Cudo's to Criswell Audi Service (not where I bought the car) for going out of their way to keep me informed, do additional research and fix this VERY quickly. Also, they found that the shipping blocks had never been removed (hmmmm), but took it upon themselves to remove them even though it was not something they will get paid for by AOA under the warranty.

https://forums.audiworld.com/rs4b7/msgs/64111.phtml</a

me thinks...
and i hate to say this, that his electrical problems could return. that sounds strange, the problem and fix. Audi electrical gremlins usually don't just clear up with a fix like that, IMO.

they are usually
a green heavy foam rubber, inserted in shock/strut, which are SUPPOSED to be removed as part of the PDI.
you can easily see them if they are still there, by looking along the shock, towards the top, under the dust cap.
