Default Nav - Anyway to not have to manually enter in city every time?

In my car street is greyed out until, I manually put in the city each and every time. I have read through the manual, but can't figure a way to do it. My wife's A6 with MMI asks you if you want one of the previous input cities, and lists the last few used.

Default No , went back and looked at it again after the suggestions, and the street part is not selectable..

until a city is manually entered. We are house hunting so have been using the Nav quite a bit, I just thought there has to be a better way. On my wife's A6 it lets you just pick from the last few cities used.

Thanks for any suggestions, I would love to find out if there is a better way, and the problem is with my head-space timing.

Thanks.

Default Click the upper left button to go to Memory...

...and select a previous destination in the same city. Then edit the street before clicking "start routing guidance".
