Default Nav system in Australia can view TV programs

My parents neighbor in Australia has an RS4 convertible and he has Nav with TV. I came home the other day and he was watching TV from the Nav. Can we do this in the US?

Default X 2. All we need now is some idiot watching TV while driving. It's probably...

Illegal to have a system like that in a car, at least in the front where the driver could see a display showing other then map info.

Default In the US it typically is illegal to have video while in motion in the front seat.

Most aftermarket head units that can play DVD's etc. have an interlock with the parking brake to keep it from playing while the car is in motion.

Unfortunately, these can usually be defeated fairly easily.
